If a lift is due an upgrade, or has simply become too unreliable and expensive to maintain, it may be time to upgrade or modernise it.
At Amy Elevators we are able to tailor an upgrade plan to replace key components of the lift to help prolong its efficiency and service life and increase its reliability and safety.
Options for doing this include installing new controllers, new machines, new doors and mechanisms and/or replacing some of the hydraulic components.
Alternatively, we can also remove the existing lift and install a new one.
When is it the right time to upgrade a lift?
- Constantly out of service, or ongoing issues
If your lift is constantly offline, awaiting repair, it may be more cost-effective to modernise it, rather than replace it. Recent technological innovations mean modern advancements can be easily integrated with existing models.
- Cramped interior
If your customers are cramming into an elevator, or the interior within the lift is dated and beginning to fall apart, it may be time to modernise it. Cosmetic upgrades, such as adding a mirror, timber or laminate panels and floor tiling can be installed, as well as technical upgrades to car doors, ropes and traction machines.
- Uneven levelling
If you notice the lift floor is not lining up flush with the floor it is stopping at it means something is wrong with the mechanics of the elevator and represents a safety risk. If this is a reoccurring problem, it is likely time for an upgrade.
